I was schedule to have a total knee replacement in the United States, and got an estimate on my out-of-pocket costs. My knee issue was “pre-existing”, so I was given a discounted cash route. After seeing the price, I started doing research on the possibility of doing surgery elsewhere.

After doing some research, I came across “My Orthopedic Vacations” and sent for information. I talked with Andres, and got a quote from him, which included transportation from airport, etc., room, OR, consults, etc., and found that the amount a little over a quarter of my discounted cash rate.

After doing more checking, my husband and I felt that this was where God wanted us to go.

I have never heard of a medical vacation, and the fact that all of the details of your stay, once you got to Cancun, was very appealing to us! They brought us to La Quinta Inn, which was very clean, quiet and had great breakfasts, and a comfortable bed! (IMPORTANT!!). The staff there where very helpful and friendly too.

Betty, Andres, and Ana were all involved in getting us to various pre-op appointments the next day and we met Dr. Arjona. The hospital was fairly close to the hotel, which was nice for my husband.

We cannot say enough about the concierge group! Betty and Ana were our main “girls”, and were super to work with, very accommodating, took care of checking up on us, and transporting us. Dr Arjona was very good with answering any questions we had, and was always just a phone call away, via Ana.

Jerry and I were very satisfied with the services that we received from My Orthopedic Vacations. And like the concept of the fine details being taken care of for you, so you can focus your energy on the surgery and the healing process.

We even got to go to the “beach” with the girls on the last day, and got a little tour of the area!
